Why should I get extensions? (top)
When your hair looks good, you feel good. Tony Odisho Extensions are an easy and versatile way to transform your hair for an exciting new look. Our high-quality human hair extensions deliver instant volume, length or non-damaging, chemical-free color. They also provide an affordable cosmetic solution to lifelong beauty frustrations including thinning hair, scalp conditions, lackluster natural color or hard-to-style hair.
Why are Tony Odisho Extensions better? (top)
Our extensions are made of 100% human hair derived from the highest quality sources. They are full Remy System extensions, meaning the hair is perfectly harvested in a single direction to ensure the extension follows the same path as your natural hair cuticle. Without this attention to quality control, bi-directional cuticles occur resulting in increased unmanageability and tangling following each washing. Similarly, our non-damaging 100% bio-protein bond is made to mimic the protein found in natural hair. Our flexible bonds expand and contract at the same rate as natural hair, so your extensions look and feel natural.
Will extensions damage my hair? (top)
Don't be fooled by common misconceptions about hair extensions. Tony Odisho Extensions will not damage your natural hair. Our extensions are 100% human hair with a natural, non-damaging keratin bond created to replicate the chemical structure of your hair. When applied by a certified Tony Odisho Extensions specialist, the protein bond lasts for months without damaging the natural hair.
How many strands do I need to add? (top)
Your stylist will consult with you to determine exactly how many you will need. The style, length, and volume of your natural hair as well as your desired look are all key factors in determining the amount of extensions you'll need. With a partial application of 25-75 strands, you can easily add volume or a specific highlight or lowlight color. A partial application can also correct a bad haircut or an awkward, in-between style. A full application of 100-150 strands can dramatically change a cut by adding length, maximizing thickness and volume, or adding a range of highlights and lowlights.
How long does it take to have them applied? (top)
Are you imagining yourself sitting in a stylist's chair for hours and hours on end? Think again! Gone are the days when extension applications take a full day. Application time depends on the number of strands you are having added and the condition of your natural hair, but full applications generally take 1-3 hours.
What do I need to do before application? (top)
To bond effectively, the keratin must attach to hair that is completely clean, dry and free of all products. It is essential that your natural hair is shampooed with a clarifying treatment TWICE before any extension application. Do not use any product (including conditioner) and either blow dry or allow hair to dry naturally.
How long do they last? (top)
Tony Odisho Extensions are designed to last 4 to 6 months with proper prep, installation and maintenance.
How do I care for extensions? (top)
Proper maintenance is the key to long-lasting extensions. After 24 hours you can wash, style and even chemically process your hair Ð extensions and all!
How should I wash and condition my hair? (top)
Be gentle. Avoid turning your head upside down or agitating your hair while washing or drying. Apply Ostia Shampoo to the top of your hair and gently use a downward motion to work the shampoo from root to tip. Rinse using the same technique. Apply Ostia Conditioning Mask from the middle of the strands to the ends, and gently comb through using a pick or wide-tooth comb before rinsing. Towel dry using a blotting motion...DO NOT RUB. Apply Ostia Detangling Mist and style using your favorite products (we recommend Ostia Foaming Mousse and Styling Mist.) For a fresh, clean look between shampoos, spray Ostia Dry Shampoo at the roots and comb through using a Tony Odisho Extensions Brush.
How often should I brush my hair? (top)
Gently brush your hair once or twice a day with a Tony Odisho Extensions brush.
What about sleeping or swimming? (top)
To prevent unwanted tangling, sleep and swim with your hair in a low, loose ponytail held by a wide band or scrunchie.
Some of my extensions came out... (top)
Don't worry, this is normal. We naturally shed 50-100 individual hairs each day. Some of these hairs will have extensions attached to them, and over time they will loosen and detach. Hair that is properly clarified prior to application and correct maintenance can minimize this.
How are extensions removed? (top)
Extensions should always be removed by a professional. Your stylist who will use a special solution which crystallizes the keratin bond and removal implement to slide the extension off with no damage to your natural hair.
